Over 70 billions objects will be connected within a few years. Thanks to Machine-to-Machine (M2M) technologies innovations and radio communications evolutions, objects and machines that communicate together autonomously are blooming fast. Potential is tremendous and applications are numerous. One of the most recent applications is smart metering which is becoming the norm in the US and in Europe. Before that, it was automobiles or domotic houses that began communicating…
This is only a start as we have now entered the “Internet of Things” Age! To avoid wandering through these new technologies spaces and wondering on these new times opportunities, CARTES & IDentification 2010 will help you to find your marks. Beacons will be set for you to travel safely through Internet of Things journey with a logo created at the occasion – IoT – to pave your way and various animations or conferences on the topic planned during the exhibit from 7th to 9th December.
What technologies will support this evolution? Which will be used for the Internet of Things to secure connections, maintain their performances, protect personal or confidential data…? Let’s start with an introductory event. M2M and RFID experts have been invited to debate on this topic and share their views with the press as part of The Internet of Things Press Breakfast Event which took place on Wednesday September 29th at LEWIS PR agency.
